“What I remember from Strate are very rich
courses, as much on the human level as on the artistic one. More than mere
drawing courses. Strate has given me a new approach of lines, of colours,
of the stroke’s strength… More than mere technical details, they are in
fact beautiful metaphors of life in general: involvement, sharing and
sincerity.”

“This school teaches generosity
and humility to those who will manage to find them there. Two
fundamental values that open and structure the mind, the designer’s best
weapons.”

“ I graduated in 2002 but I waited
3 years in another sector before finding a position as designer in
architecture. It is very important not to lose hope, especially at this
period when budgets have never been so tight. Strate has enabled me to
bring and impose very high tech knowledge. Good luck to everyone, it is a
wonderful challenge, eventually rewarding!

Strate is a collection of individual and collective
experiences, of meetings too, some of which are unforgettable, and
sentences finally, which keep sounding in my head, like Michel Harmand’s:
“Never turn down what chance brings you on a golden
plate”. But I now realize that school
is above all a formidable space of freedom, which one does not enjoy
enough, since one is not aware of
it”.

Strate Collège Designers is not a
mere design school. It is a place where one can develop creativity, rigor
and solidarity. Its relation to industry also enabled me to consider
more serenely the end of school, with a realistic approach of my
job. Finally, its multicultural frame, thanks to the exchanges
and the contributors, enables us to adapt on an international level, which
absolutely necessary in our profession
today.
