    Jacques De Crazannes

    Convivia

    Jacques De Crazannes

XXIst century seniors will be active, urban and healthy… but will still have specific problems.
Local shops, supermarkets, on-line shopping, a whole range of services will be offered to them, though no quite completely adapted.
We know how shopping is important in term of integration and socialization in one’s neighbourhood.
What can a packaging designer do to help seniors integrate in towns ?

With Convivia, Jacques de Crazannes gives an answer focused on conviviality. At the same time packaging and product, Convivia leads to recover the cordiality of having meals with friends, children and grand-children, which are essential moments of exchange and communication. By considerably simplifying their preparation and including the guests, it encourages spontaneous invitations.
The product is based on the one hand on the concept of fondues, for which even around the table everyone prepares his own dish, and on the other hand on the principle of the swivelling Chinese board, which encourages to share everyone’s food. This product is necessarily associated to a specific packaging of precooked dishes, which can be heated or cooked on the table.
