Centuries have passed, technologies
progressed, but man continues to sleep lying more or less in the same
way. The bedroom offers only one model: a horizontal bedding on a more or
less welcoming surface, dedicated to this function. The modern living-room is
a place where many activities take place, but where the possibilities to rest
are limited to sofas and other couches. Considering modern behaviours, how
could we present a new kind of sleeping solution which would (re)establish a
real pleasure of sleeping ?
Thomas
Dumoulin’s answer is called
Catnap. Based on the nonchalant
position of wild felines in the savannah trees, Thomas has invented a hanging
modular structure dedicated to the nap. True sculpture in the
living-room, it is nonetheless ergonomic, allowing one or several people to
enjoy a few moments of rest, in between heaven and
earth.
