    Eric Mazodier

    Créateur de pack

Eric Mazodier Why wouldn’t we use a different speciality of design process to bring innovating solutions to packaging? From this point of view, fashion has similarities with packaging.
Like a pack, a cloth needs to protect, highlight and communicate.
How could a designer inspire himself from a fashion stylist’s approach to tackle the issue of packaging with different solutions?
With “Créateur de Pack” (Packaging creator), Eric Mazodier gives an answer both amazing and relevant.

Eric Mazodier - Créateur de pack - Diplôme 2006As far as fashion design is concerned, there is Haute Couture and Ready-to-wear. If the former can innovate without financial or material limits, the latter inspire itself from it, integrating economical and industrial constraints.
Eric has adopted this approach to create a rational « ready-to-wear » packaging made after an « Haute Couture » one.
By putting this idea into practice for five very different objects – a light bulb, a watch, a sandwich, an MP3 player, and a coffee cup – he has invented a very curious and relevant improvement.
And in order to remain in the spirit of a fashion show, he has concluded his presentation with his « wedding dress », which veils (and unveils) a magnum of Champagne !
