    Human Nature

    Géraldine Pichot
Since the beginning of humanity, the distance between man and nature has kept increasing. As man’s scientific knowledge increased, his relation to nature changed: from a generous hostess, She became a mere distant food provider. Inside our cities, that distance is even greater, and vegetal elements are just anecdotic or decorative.

How then can we recreate a sensual relation to vegetal within our apartments ?

Géraldine Pichot - Nature Humaine - Diplôme 2006The Human Nature project  aims therefore at reintroducing plants in the urban housing, so that inhabitants could fully enjoy the benefits of nature.
From the lounge to the loo, there are four concepts for different rooms. Their purpose is to awake our five senses, and to develop a new relationship between man and plants, for them to be more than mere decoration.
Furthermore, those projects have been built around sustainable development (water and energy savings, reduction of greenhouse effects) and are very easy to maintain.
