Behind every use lie men’s intentions:

- rational use in accordance to the role conceived by its creators,
- diverted uses in a second life that can be longer than the first one,
- encoding function, which can be evidence of richness, for example,
- or symbolic function like elements of personal identity or like public evidence of its belonging to a group.

An object’s life is certainly richer and longer that this imagined by its creators: it is the mirror of its users.
At Strate, the social sciences enable our students to try and understand them.

 

Innovathèque (resource and research centre in innovating materials) :

Strate is a partner of the CTBA (Technical centre for wood and furniture) that offers training to materials and new technologies to our third year students. After this initiation, they have access to the INNOVATHEQUE to consult the materiothèque. They have access as well all year long to the Innovathèque website at the school’s IT lab.
